Terrell F. Jones, Pastor

Pastor Terrell F. Jones was born in Reno, Nevada to Ethel Mae Jones and the late Arthur C. Jones, Sr. He is the proud parent of two adult children  and two grandchildren.


In May of 1998, Pastor Jones accepted the calling to pastor New St. Bethel Baptist Church. After arriving in the Oak Park community, Pastor Jones has committed himself to maintaining an active role in the area. He has been involved with the Sacramento Neighborhood Housing Services, Oak Park Renaissance Resident Leadership Development Academy and CARES. He is currently involved in the Greater Sacramento Urban League Oak Park Peace Walk. Pastor Jones has also implemented weekly Food Give Away and monthly community feeding programs at New St. Bethel, serving several families. He has also dedicated his time to social and economic programs, such as youth counselor at Morgan Alternative Center and Youth Guidance Connection, a volunteer chaplain at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center and is a member of the Omega Cluster based at Antioch Baptist Church. 


Pastor Jones earned two degrees from American River College and Cosumnes River College. He is a graduate in theological studies from Golden State Bible Institute and received his Master of Theological Studies at Gateway Seminary.


During his employment with Sacramento County as a social services worker, he received training in chemical dependency. In addition, Pastor Jones has served as the President of the Northern District Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education and is the current Moderator-at-Large for the District.


Pastor Jones is a humble man who daily yields himself to the Holy Spirit and walks in ordinance with God's Holy Word.
